Calvin Ray Sparrow

December 14, 1954 - June 6, 2014

Mr. Calvin Ray Sparrow, of Corinth, KY. passed away Friday, June 6 at home at the age of 59. Calvin was born December 14, 1954 in Owenton, KY. to Rita Milner Sparrow and the late Ray M. Sparrow. Calvin was a brick mason and heavy equipment operator and at the time of his passing he was a member of the Family Worship Center in Williamstown, KY. Calvin enjoyed horseback riding, camping and doing anything outdoors. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. Calvin leaves to mourn his passing his wife of nearly 35 years, Orlana Jones Sparrow, 1 son: Troy M. Sparrow of Williamstown, KY., his mother: Rita Milner Sparrow of Dry Ridge, KY., 1 sister: Lorraine "Peaches" Sparrow of Dry Ridge, KY. and 1 brother: Dennis Sparrow of New Columbus, KY. Funeral services for Calvin will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, June 9 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Tony McKinnon officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, June 8 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery, Owen County. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice of the Bluegrass.
