Mrs. Katherine Lucillie Ashcraft-Harris, of Jonesville, KY. passed away Wednesday, March 26 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 77. Katherine was born on October 19, 1936 in Grant County, KY. to the late Dowell and Gertrude Washum Thomas. Katherine worked as a cook at the Jonesville Nursing home and also at Helping Hands in Williamstown, KY. At the time of her passing Katherine was a memeber of the Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents Katherine was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Clay Ashcraft in 1997, a sister, Betty Johnson and a brother, Charles Thomas. Katherine leaves to mourn her passing her husband: Tom Harris; 3 sons: Johnny Ashcraft and his wife, Michelle of Jonesville, KY, Timmy Wayne Ashcraft and his wife, Mary of Jonesville, KY and Jimmy Clay Ashcraft of Florida; 1 brother: Albert Thomas of Holbrook, KY; 4 grandchildren: Janaye Camacho of Bristol, IN, Amber Ashcraft of Falmouth, KY, Precious Ashcraft of Texas and Seth Baker and his wife Kari of Savannah, GA. Katherine was also blessed with 6 great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Katherine will be conducted 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 29 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Sean Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesville I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jonesville, KY. Visitation for Katherine will also be on Saturday, March 29 at the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
