Bob Howard

Robert Lewis (Bob) Howard, of Florence, KY. passed away Monday, February 24 at the Florence Park Care Center in Florence, KY. at the age of 94. Mr. Howard was born June 7, 1919 in Owen County, KY. to the late Robert L. & Cecil Cobb Howard. Mr. Howard was a former member of the Lakeside Christian Church and a member of the Carpenters Union Local #698 for over 50 years. His long history of volunteer work included the American Cancer Society and St.Luke Hospital. Bob was also an active Deacon and Elder in several churches for many years. Currently he was a member of the Corinth Christian Church. He deeply loved his wife, family and friends. Bob leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 73 years, Larue Rogers Howard. 1 daughter: Mary Jane (Richard) Hensley of Frankfort, KY., 1 son: David L. (Norma) Howard of Lexington, KY., 2 granddaughters: Marylee Greene of Mt. Sterling, KY. & Suzanne Hensley of Frankfort, KY., 4 great grandchildren: Alyssa, Kara, Damon and Randy. He also has 1 great, great granddaughter: Lillian Elizabeth Miley. Funeral services for Mr. Howard will be conducted 11:30 am Thursday, February 27 at the Corinth Christian Church. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 10:30 am - 11:30 am. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, the Florence United Methodist Church or the Corinth Christian Church.
