Naomi Alene Marksberry

September 29, 1916 - February 15, 2012

Naomi Alene Marksberry, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Wednesday, February 15 at the Grant Manor Nursing Home in Williamstown, KY. at the age of 95. Mrs. Marksberry was born September 29, 1916 in Sherman, KY. to the late Joe Clark Miller and Anna Mary Mitchell Miller. Mrs. Marksberry was a licensed beautician and a member of the Dry Ridge Christian Church. She was active with the Christian Women's Fellowship at the church and formerly sang in the choir. Mrs. Marksberry loved to cook and would cook for any neighbor in need. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marksberry was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene Marksberry in 1962. She was also preceded in death by a brother: Harold Miller and by a granddaughter: Carla Dills in 2009. Mrs. Marksberry leaves to mourn her passing 2 daughters: Gwen Dills of Dry Ridge, KY. and Mary Jo Kinmon of Williamstown, KY., 2 sons: Charles Marksberry of Hebron, KY. and Larry Marksberry of Albuquerque, NM. She has 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Marksberry will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, February 21 at the Dry Ridge Christian Church with Rev. Robert Silvanik officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 20 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge and on Tuesday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the church. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
