Sylvia Mae Cox

Sylvia Mae Cox, of Demossville, KY. passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 12 at the age of 105. Mrs. Cox was born February 9, 1906 in Pendleton County, KY. to the late Martin Lower and Minnie Courtney Lower. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker, general store operator, farmer and a talented crafts person. She was a lifelong member of the Grassy Creek Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Talton M. Cox in 1969. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Mrs. Cox is survived by a son: James A. Cox of Demossville, KY. and she has 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Cox will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 22 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Mike Flynn and Rev. Ken Allender officiating. Music will be provided by Linda Longworth, Lisa Hardin and Gerald Kelly. Visitation will be Saturday, October 22 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
