Louise Simpson

Louise Simpson, of New Columbus, passed away on Thursday, February 3 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. at the age of 84. Mrs. Simpson was born in Owen County, KY. on May 15, 1926 to the late Louis Robinson and Ava Mefford Robinson. Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker and a former school teacher in Owen County and she was a member of the New Columbus Baptist Church. Mrs. Simpson was the widow of William B. Simpson who passed away April 11, 2007 and in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Doris Wright and by a brother: Eugene Robinson. Mrs. Simpson leaves to mourn her passing 2 daughters: Sue (Carl) Henage of New Columbus, KY. and Teresa (Robert) Hawes of Rockdale, KY. and a son: William Steven Simpson of New Columbus, KY. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Simpson will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, February 7 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Bro. Bruce Harrison officiating. The music will be provided by Mrs. Faye Prewitt, organist and Mr. Bill Prewitt, soloist. The visitation will be on Sunday, Feb. 6 at the funeral home from 2-6 pm. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery.
