John William Stubbs

John William Stubbs, of Russell Springs, KY. passed away Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. at the age of 87. Mr. Stubbs was born April 23, 1923 to the late Roy & Effie New Stubbs. He was a farmer and a member of the Pine Grove United Baptist Church in Russell Springs, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Opal Stubbs. Mr. Stubbs is survived by his wife: Lofie Gosser Stubbs. He has 1 son: Roy Stubbs of Somerset, KY. and 2 stepchildren: J. C. McFarland and Joyce Voils both of Russell Springs, KY. He has 3 brothers: Fred Stubbs & George Stubbs both of Sadieville, KY. and Kenneth Stubbs of Mansfield, OH. He is also survived by 1 grandson, 4 step grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 6 step great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Stubbs will be conducted on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Bro. Alan Voils officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-9 pm. Burial will be in the Raven Creek Cemetery, Harrison County.
