Ada Katherine Hammond

Ada Katherine Hammond of Corinth, KY. passed away Wednesday, April 7 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown, KY. following a long illness at the age of 94. Mrs. Hammond was born April 14, 1915 in Owen County, KY. to the late Richard Mason and Artie Nash Mason. She was a homemaker and farmer and a member of the Canby Tabernacle in Owen County. She was the widow of Andrew Hammond who passed away May 16, 1982. She is survived by a daughter: Kay Evans and husband Danny of Corinth, KY. and by a son: Zemer K. Hammond and wife Norma. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Glenna Rose Dixon in 2008. She also leaves to mourn her passing 1 sister: Pearl Hunter of Atlanta, Georgia and 1 brother: Marvin Mason of Atlanta, Georgia. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Hammond will be conducted on Sunday, April 11 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Everett Hawkins and Rev. Charles Ellis officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday evening from 5-9 pm. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery.
