Vernon Byrd

Vernon Byrd, 72, of Dry Ridge, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 11:35 am. He was born December 3, 1936 in Clay County, KY. to the late Claude Byrd and Lita Allen Byrd. He was a teacher and retired from the King's High School in Mason, OH. He taught more recently as a substitute in the Grant County School System as well as the Williamstown School System. He was preceded in death by his wife: Eloise Byrd in 2000 and by a son: David Alan Byrd in 1995. He is survived by 2 sons: Gary Byrd of Mason, OH. and Michael Byrd of Dry Ridge, KY. 4 Sisters: Lucille Thomas of Brookville, IN., Cindy Deaton of Cincinnati, OH., Carolyn Maddox of Cleves, OH., and Charlene Adams of Andersonville, IN. 2 Brothers: Larry Byrd of Newpoint, IN., and Earl Byrd of Brookville, IN. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
