Aaron Dyer

Aaron Dyer, 84, Corinth, KY, passed away Tuesday July 14, 2026 at the Owenton Manor. Born on December 27, 1941 in Magoffin County, KY, he was the son of the late Austin and Marie Allen Dyer.

Aaron retired from Johnson Controls in Georgetown. He will long be remembered as an ardent conversationalist; he never met a stranger anywhere he went. Much of his energies were centered around fishing and family outings. While working on cars and motors, he enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music where he became a fervent follower of Bill Monroe. He grew up in the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Anna (late Larry) Hawkins of Owenton, KY; one son, Gregory B. Dyer of Williamstown, KY; one brother, Donnie (Peggy) Dyer of Corinth, KY; four sisters: Arbiedella “Della” (late Johnny) Richerson of Jonesville, KY, Anita (Jim) Wright of Corinth, KY, Jeanette (Jimmy) Franklin of Georgetown, KY and Denise Epperson of Georgetown, KY. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Melinda (Kevin) Beach, Arlene (Vincent) Yager, Craigory Lee Dyer; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchildren. Preceding Aaron in death include a son, Craig Lee Dyer; two daughters: Lois Kay Dyer, Doris Jean Parker; four brothers: Densel Dyer, Afton Dyer, Ronnie Dyer, Lonnie Dyer and one sister, Marcella Scudder.

Visitation will be Tuesday July 21, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at McDaniel Funeral Homes - Corinth. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Milkweed Wotier officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his wife, Mildred Mae Dyer.
