Ada Frances Baker, 81, of Dry Ridge, KY, entered into her eternal rest on Tuesday February 7, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center - Edgewood. Born on March 14, 1941 in Oneida, KY, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Lottie Allen Riley.
On June 14, 1958 in Manchester, KY, Ada was united in marriage to Gordon Baker; he preceded her in death January 26, 2020. Being a faithful and committed housewife and mother was her highest calling in life. She, along with her husband and family, faithfully served their Lord through the ministries of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Dry Ridge. She loved cooking and singing but her greatest fulfillment came from loving on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After her children were grown, she took on the role of “Nanny” for a family to whom she had endeared herself.
She leaves to carry on her legacy of love, four sons: Mark (Anita) Baker of Independence, KY, Mike (Paula) Baker of Dry Ridge, KY, Gordon Baker, Jr. of Morningview, William (Gina) Baker of Dry Ridge and one daughter: Diana Huesman of Dry Ridge. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Ada was the youngest of 10 children; she was preceded in death by five brothers: Alfred Riley, Ellis Riley, Willie Riley, Cellie Riley Raleigh Riley and four sisters: Ozie Fornash, Laurie Hudson, Zona Joy Lincoln and Ursila Riley.
Visitation will be Saturday February 11, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Bro. David Fox officiating. Burial will be Monday morning at 10:00 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North in Williamstown.
