Alan Jeffry Buchanan

Alan Jeffry Buchanan was born March 11, 1950 in Atlanta, GA and passed away January 1, 2026 in Cincinnati, OH at the age of 75.  He was the son of the late Walter Jefferson and Winnie Theresa Ethridge Buchanan.

On June 24, 1978 Alan was united in marriage to Sharon Thompson Buchanan.  In addition to his wife of 47 years he is survived by a stepson, Daniel Edward Lamb, Jr. of Hamilton, OH, two stepdaughters, Tina Louise Lamb Braun of Salt Lake City, UT and Tonya Rochelle Lamb (Tanya) of Greenwood, IN, a brother, Daryl Keith Buchanan of Villa Rica, GA, a sister, Janine Anderson of Dearborn, MI, and eight grandchildren.

Alan was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served during Vietnam.  He retired from the Bowlin Group as a Fiber Optics Technician.

Alan will be cremated and his cremated remains will be interred in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown, KY with military honors at a later date.
