Ambrose "Bo" Allen

January 8, 1944 — September 7, 2025

Florence

Ambrose “Bo” Allen, 81, of Florence, KY, entered his heavenly home on Sunday September 7, 2025 at Village Care Center in Erlanger; he was surrounded and cared for by his beloved wife and family during his illness. Born on January 8, 1944 in Oneida, KY (Clay County), he was the son of the late Alfred and Doshia (Allen) Allen.

On November 6, 1965, “Bo”, as he was affectionately known by everyone, was united in marriage to the former Betty Jean Begley; this began a union that lasted 59 years. He retired after many years as a machine operator for C.W. Zumbiel Packaging in Norwood, OH. “Bo” earned the love and respect of everyone who knew him. He enjoyed fishing and had a fascination for vintage cars, attending car shows and drag racing. He will be long remembered for being quite meticulous with keeping his yard manicured to perfection. But nothing was more important and brought more fulfillment to him than spending time with his beautiful and loving family. He was a faithful member of Community Family Church in Taylor Mill. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and lives of all whom his life touched.

“Bo’ leaves a legacy that will continue to inspire generations to come, through his wife and soulmate of 59 years, Betty Jean Allen, whom he lovingly referred to as “My Betty”; one daughter: Michelle Williamson (Dave) of Warsaw, KY; a very special sister-n-law: Tonya Crawford of Crestwood, KY; two grandchildren: Chaz Jonathan Lemming (Kyle) of Dayton, OH, Lexie Williamson of Warsaw, KY and two great-grandchildren: Raeleigh and Brenleigh. Also surviving are two brothers: Carl (Sue) Allen of Johnsville, KY, Hugh (late Sue) Allen of Manchester, KY and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: William Allen, Neil Allen and four sisters: Mary McQueen, Belle Canterbury, Sue Helton and Rosie Sams.

Friends and family may gather at Community Family Church (Independence, KY) on Thursday September 11, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 with Pastor Tommy Bates officiating. Interment will be in follow in the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
