Anna Marie Burton

Anna Marie Burton , 58, of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away Friday January 31, 2020 at her residence after a long and courageous battle with liver disease. She was born April 6, 1961 in Lawton, OK.

On December 22, 1984 in Gaffney, S.C., she was united in marriage to Markus W. Burton; he survives. As a hobby, she enjoyed cross-stitching but her greatest fulfillment came from spending time at the lake - boating, fishing and camping with her family.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 35 years, Markus, includes her mother: Janelle (Otis) Daniels of Taylorsville, N.C.; one son: Justin Hinson of Covington, KY, three brothers: Tony Shortte of California, Jim Shortte of Georgia, Tim May of South Carolina; one sister: Monica Arnett of Hickory, NC. Additional survivors include her grandchildren and a very special friend: Delana Vallandingham of Gallatin Co. She was preceded in death by her father: James Short and a sister: Lisa Rocket.

Visitation will be Tuesday February 4, 2020 at Stanley Funeral Homes – Crittenden location, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. At Anna’s request, there will be no funeral service; burial will  be Wednesday February 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North (KVC-N) in Williamstown, KY.
