Anna Kathy Dunaway

Anna K. Mulberry Dunaway, best known as “Kathy”, 75 years old, of Sadieville, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026. She was born in Lexington, KY, on September 29, 1950, to Robert William Mulberry and Hazel Frances Rutledge Mulberry.

Kathy is survived by her husband of over 57 years, Hayden Dunaway; her children: Robert Dunaway (Susan) and Lori Dunaway (Jimmie Covington); and her granddaughters: Kayla and Madison Dunaway and Audrey Covington. She is also survived by a brother, Robert Mulberry II.

During her lifetime, Kathy enjoyed many hobbies and shared her talents with those around her – including cooking, crafting, sewing, playing the piano, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a dedicated church pianist at Stonewall First Church of God for many years, and was known for sending cards to anyone who was sick or needing extra cheer. Music and cards were her ministry and she touched so many lives through them.

Kathy has left a lasting legacy through her family and all that knew her. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and Christian – showing strength, kindness and love to all. She has undoubtedly left a void that can never be filled.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Donna G. Moberly.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 at Stonewall First Church of God. Visitation at the church will begin at 10:00 and continue until the time of the funeral. Rev. Roger Wells and Rev. Tom Denney will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Porter Christian Church Cemetery in Sadieville.
