Anna "Michele" Lee Schawe

Anna "Michele" Lee Schawe, 59, of Corinth, KY, slipped into her eternal rest on Friday January 2, 2026 at her residence. Born on April 19, 1966 in Wise, Virginia, she was the daughter of Anna Sturdivant – Scott and the late Virgil Lee Scott.

For over 40 years, Michele, as she was affectionately known, and her husband have been in a beautiful and enriching relationship; on September 29, 1989 she was united in marriage to Douglas Edward Schawe; he survives. Being a stay-at-home mom, she was a dedicated homemaker and faithful housewife; this proved to be a passion that brought her much satisfaction. She was raised in Independence, KY but later moved to Corinth to be in the country, which is where her heart was. Camping, fishing and relaxing at the pool or watching her much loved nature shows were among her favorite pastimes. She was a 1983 graduate of Simon Kenton High School in Independence and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to her husband, Douglas E. Schawe and her mother Anna Scott, she will be forever missed and always remembered by her two daughters: Sarah Jane Schawe and Hannah Leigh Schawe; one son: Adam Joseph Lee; one brother, Gary Wayne Lee; one sister, Theresa Marie Warner, along with three grandchildren: Evie Marie Lee, Sadie Mae Lee and Shaylee Michele Wright. She was preceded in death by her biological father: Robert E. Lee and her “bonus” father, Virgil Lee Scott, who raised her; one brother: Lee Scott, Jr. and one sister, Sandra Lee Scott.

A Celebration of Life will be observed on Saturday January 10, 2026 from 12:00 till 2:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown.
