Barbara Lee Humphries

Barbara Lee McGuire Humphries, 87, of Warsaw, KY, entered her heavenly home on Friday July 18, 2025 at Gallatin Healthcare in Warsaw.

Barbara will be long remembered as a wonderful and kind Christian lady, known for her unwavering faith and devotion to her family and her church. She was born to the late Roger Lee and Dorothy Mae Boyd McGuire on April 16, 1938 in Cincinnati, OH. On December 15, 1956, she was married to Everett Vernon "Pete" Humphries; he preceded her in death on July 3, 2005. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter and devotion. As a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Barbara’s greatest joy was her family. She retired as an insurance agent for Michel Insurance in Florence, KY. She was a member of Owenton First Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons: Danny Lee (Denise) Humphries of Owenton, KY, Mickey Gregory (Bonnie) Humphries of Sparta, KY, Rick Vernon (Janet) Humphries of Walton, KY; one daughter: Sandy Michele Humphries of Springfield Township, OH; one sister: Rosemary McGuire of Edgewood, KY, along with eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, all of whom she loved so dearly. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Humphries and two brothers: Roger “Bud” Hal McGuire and Michael C. McGuire.

Visitation will be Tuesday July 22, 2025 from 3:00 till 6:00 at Hamilton – Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. Funeral service will begin at 6:00 with Pastors Brad Banks and Steve Cable officiating. Following the funeral services, she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Everett, at Napoleon Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers: Greg Humphries, Ben McCelland, Cody Humphries, Clayton Brennan, Brandon Humphries, Liam Glenn, Rory Glenn and Nathan Wiles.
