Beatrice Lee "Aunt Bea" Crase Reed, 81, entered into her eternal home on Sunday August 3, 2025 at her Crittenden residence. Born on January 7, 1944 in Morgan County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Daisy Mable Bailey Crase.
On August 21, 1978 she was united in marriage to James Ray Reed; he preceded her in death. She was a graduate of the Class of 1962 at Grant Co. High School. For 24 years she was a Prep Cook for TA (Truckers of America) Truck Stop. In her spare time, she enjoyed fulfilling her passion of fishing, particularly bluegill. She was a faithful member of United Baptist Church of Walton.
“Aunt Bea”, as she was affectionately known, leaves to celebrate her legacy, one son: Greg Crase of Dry Ridge, KY; one brother: Darrell (Becky) Crase of Perdido Beach, AL; one granddaughter: Bailey Lynn (Buckwheat) Kinman; one great-grandson: Harrison Kinman; a beloved niece and best friend, Pam Lucas (Tommy), along with a special nephew: Harry Crase (Debbie) and two great nephews: Kent Lucas and Casey Lucas (Deanna). In addition to her husband, James Ray, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Harold Crase, William Harrison “Harry” Crase and two sisters: Janet Elam and Imogene Harris.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday August 13, 2025 from 12 Noon till 2:45 p.m. at Hamilton – Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. Funeral services will begin at 2:45 with Rev. Tim Keeton officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, James.
