Benjamin "Barry" Barrott Grant

Benjamin “Barry” Barrott Grant, 86, Florence, KY passed away Friday February 4, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Florence. He was born on Sunday September 15, 1935 in Hebron, KY. On August 1, 1987, Barry was united in marriage to the former Cheryl Ann Perkins; she survives. He was a retired mechanical engineer with Veteran’s Administration in Fort Thomas. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Being a sports enthusiast; he especially enjoyed Girls’ high school basketball games at Conner, Boone County and Scott High School. Survivors, in addition to his wife of almost 35 years, Cheryl Grant, include two step-sons: Benjamin Montgomery of Florence, James (Melissa) Montgomery of Verona; one step-daughter: Regina (Tom Marcinkavage) Hall of North Carolina; one brother: Robert (Patty) Montgomery of Florida along with six grandchildren: Devin Hall, Chris Montgomery, Joseph Montgomery, Ian Montgomery, Ronnie Brown, Nick Brown and one great-grandchild: Ella Rose Hall. Graveside services to be held Thursday March 3, 2022 at 2:00 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North (KVC-N) in Williamstown.
