She had many passions in life, including being a faithful and loving mother, grandma, and great-grandmother. Betty touched many lives as a selfless, compassionate Christian lady. Until her passing, she was the oldest living member of Williamstown Baptist Church, where she faithfully expressed her love for the Lord and her church family by volunteering with the ministry of Helping Hands, serving as Director of the WMU (Women’s Missionary Union) and actively involved with the Super Seniors; for many years she taught the adult woman’s Sunday School Class as well as the Grant County Adult Literacy Enrichment Program.
Betty leaves to carry on her legacy, two daughters: Virginia Mooney of Columbia, SC, Rebecca (Ray) Chiles of Falmouth, along with five grandchildren: Bryan Mooney, Columbia, SC; Lisa Mooney, Mexico City; Carrie (Dave) Thomas, Foster, KY; Michael Chiles, Falmouth, KY; Jill (Chad) Collins, La Quinta, CA and seven great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Hamm, Athens, GA; Russell Hamm, Cleveland, OH; Holden Hamm, Salt Lake City, UT, and Rebecca Ham, Denver, CO; Evan Thomas, Aaron Thomas, and Hannah Thomas all of Foster, KY. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Warren Walker and Craig Walker.
