Bill Mitts

William “Bill” Vernon Mitts, 84, of Williamstown, KY, passed away on Wednesday June 4, 2025 at Grant Healthcare in Williamstown. Born on October 11, 1940 in Williamstown, he was the son of the late Vernon and Alma Virginia Garrard Mitts.

In September of ’63, he entered the U.S. Army; he was honorably discharged with a rank of CPL (E-4) in September of '65. For many years, Bill was employed by the Kentucky State Highway Department.

Survivors include one son: Troy (Keisha) Mitts of Williamstown, KY; one brother: Bobby (Marge) Mitts of West Virginia and two grandchildren: Ryan and Tyler.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday June 11, 2025 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North in Williamstown, KY at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Mark Messmore officiating. Full Military Honors will be observed.
