Billy Ray Moore, a Corinth resident, born on May 26, 1957, in the quiet community of Georgetown, Kentucky, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY on July 15, 2026, leaving behind memories cherished by all who knew him. Known for his big heart and unwavering kindness, Billy Ray dedicated his life to helping those around him and was always ready to lend a hand to friends and loved ones in need.

Billy Ray's early years in Corinth, KY were filled with curiosity and a love for adventure that persisted throughout his life. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—nothing brought him more happiness than 4 wheeling across the countryside, tinkering and fixing things, spending time with friends, shooting pool, and traveling to the mountains. These pursuits reflected his deep appreciation for both camaraderie and the beauty of the outdoors.

Among Billy Ray’s greatest qualities was his boundless generosity. Friends recall how he would offer help—never expecting anything in return—whenever he saw an opportunity. His compassion extended deeply into his family life as well; Billy Ray took on the role of caregiver for his mother for several years, providing her with comfort, dignity, and love in her later days.

Billy Ray is mourned by a loving family who survive him: his sister, Joyce (David) Menefee, and his brothers, Gayle (Rhonda) Moore and John (Leslie) Moore. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Shane Houston Edward Moore, as well as two brothers, Lewis Moore and Darrell Houston Moore, Jr. Their memory, along with Billy Ray’s, will be carried on warmly in the hearts of all who loved them.

Billy Ray’s legacy is marked by his warmth, generosity, and tireless spirit. His love for adventure and his devotion to family and friends have left an indelible impact on all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey. He will be remembered as a man of character, kindness, and genuine love for life.  A celebration of life memorial service will be conducted at the Corinth cemetery privately and at the convenience of the family.  Stanley Funeral Homes of Williamstown is handling arrangements.
