Bobby Cook Fain, 87, passed away quietly on Saturday March 21, 2024 at Boonespring Skilled Nursing Facility in Union. Born on July16, 1938 in Lancaster, OH, he was the son of the late Curtis Cook and Edna Teeter Fain.

After finishing high school, Bobby studied engineering at the University of Kentucky. During the Korean War Era, Bobby served his country in the United States Army. For many years he worked as a Mechanical Engineer for a firm in Bowling Green, KY. He was a member of the Golden Eagles, an elite group of the NRA. Loving old sports cars and Classic Rock and Roll were among his hobbies and interests.

Bobby leaves behind a son, Rob (Jody) Fain of Dry Ridge, KY; a daughter, Debbie Fain of Williamstown, KY; two step-daughters: Nikki Avila and Monique Vacca, both of Dartmouth, MA, along with 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, whom affectionately call him “Grandpa” and “Bubba”. Last, but not least, he will be missed by his best friend, Rollie, his Chocolate Lab. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Mandeville Fain and a sister, June Feck.

As per his request, there will be no services. McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge is honored to be handling Bobby’s arrangements.
