Bobby Lee Simpson

Bobby Lee Simpson was born May 25, 1973 in Covington, Kentucky and passed away June 15, 2026 in Warsaw, Kentucky at the age of 53. He was the son of Sherry Kaye Hendrix Simpson of Williamstown and the late Gordon Douglas Simpson.

Bobby was an over the road truck driver having worked for Zartran Logistics and Classic Freight in Walton. He attended Sherman Church of Christ, was a member the Bluegrass Pulling Association and a former member of the Grant County Fair Board. Bobby loved farming and working on tractors. He was also an avid fan of UK Basketball.

On June 22, 2019 Bobby was united in marriage to Melissa Beth Bowen Simpson. In addition to his wife and mother Bobby is survived by a daughter: Brianna Paige Simpson; two sons: Chase Walker Simpson and Brody Lee Simpson; a stepdaughter: Morgan Brenlee Shipp; his twin brother: Brian Douglas Simpson (Kim); his sister: Julie Faye Stanley (Douglas); his mother-in-law: Janet Landrum; a sister-in-law: Bradie Courtade; and his grandson: Channing Wyatt Simpson.

In addition to his father, Gordon, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jackie Allen Bowen, and brother-in-law, Daniel Joseph Courtade.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home with additional visitation from 1:00 PM until time of the services. Private burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
