Carl Vernon Reed

Carl Vernon Reed was born August 27, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio and passed away August 22, 2026 in Cleveland, Tennessee at the age of 69.  He was the son of the late Hargis and Edna Reed.

Carl was a retired over-the-road truck driver and a proud veteran of the United States Army.  In his free time he loved working on and tinkering with cars.

He is survived by a son, Ryan (Summer) Reed of Carrollton, a daughter, Virgie Reed of Atlanta, a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Reed of Warsaw, six grandchildren, Conner (Mary) Reed, Benjamin Reed, Bradley Reed, Kimberly Reed, Elaine Thompson and Malachi Traylor, and a great grandson, Braxton Taylor.

Carl was preceded in death by a son, James Reed, and three brothers, Richard Reed, Glen Reed and Larry Reed.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday, August 31, 2026 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY  41097.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, August 31, 2026 at Elliston- Stanley Funeral Home.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown.
