Cathy Lea Norris

Cathy Lea Norris, 74, of Dry Ridge, KY, entered her heavenly home on Sunday August 17, 2025 at Hospice Care of Blue Ash. Born on March 29, 1951 in Eaton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Marion Duane and Frances Mae Ramsey Petry.

For many years, Cathy was a cosmetologist at salons in Ohio and Indiana. She later owned and operated her own cleaning services. Her vivacious spirit and captivating personality endeared herself to everyone that knew her. She had an infatuation with nature, more specifically, hummingbirds, butterflies and saving/rescuing pets; she also loved mowing her lawn and watching westerns. Having a true passion for music, Cathy loved dancing and listening to rock and roll music; she gained much pleasure from dancing in her living room with all four generations living. She will be best remembered for her love for celebrating her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, where she would bake deep-dish pumpkins and hand them out to all her friends and family; with that occasion, she always delivered long-stem red roses; which was her way of expressing her love for them. The greatest legacy she leaves....one that she worked so hard to achieve… was dying with the satisfaction of leaving this world debt free, owing no one anything, all debts, mortgage , everything…PAID!!!

He leaves to celebrate her memory, one daughter: Tammy Lea (Patrick Michael Richardson) Nelson of Deer Park, OH; one son: Robert Lee Nelson of Kentucky; one brother: Douglas Eugene Petry of Owenton, KY, along with four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Lynn Nelson and a brother, Jonathan James Petrey.

Visitation will be Monday August 25, 2025 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown. Funeral service will begin at 11:00. Burial will follow in Preble Memorial Gardens in West Alexandria, OH, with an arrival time of 2:15.
