Charlene McKnight Towery

Charlene McKnight Towery, 81, formerly of Princeton, KY, passed away peacefully in Latonia, KY. Charlene was born on January 4, 1944 in Caldwell County, KY to the late Nelson McKnight and Mattie Pruitte Ortt.

Charlene retired from a 30 year career as a registered nurse in several hospitals throughout western Kentucky, southern Indiana and northern Kentucky.

Charlene enjoyed her pets, both cats and dogs, flowers, cooking and old sci-fi movies.

In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Lynn Towery and her siblings: Bobby and Billy McKnight, Edith McKinney and Sandy Green.

Charlene is survived by her son, Troy Owen Wayne Towery (Pam) of Verona, KY; her daughter, Donna Dockery (Andrew) of Dawson Springs, KY; her sisters: Sue Prince (Chuck), Corrine Gilkey (Robert) and her brothers: Doug Green (Jenny Rose) and Dickie Green (Rhonda) of Princeton, KY.

A private graveside service will be held at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY. There will be no visitation, per Charlene’s wishes.
