Charles Samuel Pierce

Charles Samuel Pierce , 71, of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away at his home early Wednesday morning October 2, 2019. Born Thursday February 26, 1948, he was the son of the late George and Margaret Ann Blackburn Pierce.

On June 22, 1974, he was married to the former Shirley Ann Prather; she survives. He retired from Duro Bag in Florence in 2001 after 34 years of service. He was a member of Burlington Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Shirley, of 45 years, include one son: Robert E. Lee Pierce of Dry Ridge; two step-sons: Charles David McEntire of Corinth, KY and Kevin Ray McEntire of Dry Ridge, KY; three sisters: Margie Thompson of Burlington, KY, Rose Ann Lock of Farmington Hills, MI, Edna Mae Duncan of Florence, KY; two brothers: Stanley Pierce of Blue Ash, OH and Danny Pierce of Florence, KY. Five step-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great grandchild also survive. He was preceded in death by five brothers: Neal Pierce, Albert Pierce, George Pierce, Randy Pierce and Bill Pierce.

Visitation will be Friday October 4, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge, KY. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home - Dry Ridge with Revs. Jeremy Northcutt and Dave Milkweed Wotier officiating.
