Christine P. Hicks

Mrs. Christine P. Hicks of Crittenden, KY. passed away Saturday, February 8 at her residence.  Mrs. Hicks was born September 27, 1941 in Grant County, KY. to the late Willard Pugh and Mabel Plunkett Pugh.  Mrs. Hicks was a homemaker and a member of the Crittenden Baptist Church.  On July 27, 1963 Mrs. Hicks was united in marriage to the late Joseph Franklin Hicks.  Mr. Hicks passed away December 30, 2013.

In addition to her parents and her husband Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by brothers: James Pugh and Robert Pugh and preceded in death by sisters: Velma Reid and Mary Whalen.

Mrs. Hicks is survived by a son: Rodney Hicks and his wife Cosette of Crittenden, KY., a daughter: Krista Smith of Walton, KY., a sister: Emogene Smoot of Crittenden, KY.  She has 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Christine P. Hicks will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, February 13 at the Crittenden Baptist Church, 215 Russell Street, Crittenden, KY. 41030 with Rev. Owen Dolin and Rev. Douglas Miller officiating.  Visitation will also be at the Crittenden Baptist Church on Thursday, February 13 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Special music will be provided by Jason Fishel and Brenda Prince.  Serving as pallbearers will be: Rodney Hicks, Timmy Mason, A. J. Mason, Storm Mason, Maurice Pugh and Malcomb Pugh.  Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.  Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Crittenden Baptist Church Building Fund or to the American Heart Association.  The Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home of Crittenden, KY. has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mrs. Christine P. Hicks.
