Christopher "Whitey" Caldwell, born on April 23, 1965, in Grant County, Kentucky, tragically passed away in his home on August 12, 2025, due to a sudden heart attack. He was a beloved member of the community, known for his quiet demeanor, humility, and passion for helping others.
Whitey served as the Inventory Manager for Piles Chevrolet in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, where he dedicated ten years of his life. Prior to this role, he had a distinguished 28-year career at Delta Airlines as an ALA Supervisor. In addition to his professional commitments, he held integral positions within the Williamstown Baptist Church, where he was the Chair of the Ushers, Chair of the Trustees, member of the Security Team and member of the renovation committee. His contributions extended to serving on the Parkview Manor Board. Earlier in his life, Whitey also worked as a greens keeper at the Eagle Creek Country Club.
A graduate of Williamstown High School, Whitey was known for never meeting a stranger and volunteering countless hours for his church and its family. He was fondly described by his brother Mark as the "ultimate Ridge Runner," forever traveling between Dry Ridge and Williamstown to lend a hand to those in need. His love for military history, particularly for General Patton, as well as his passion for sports, including being a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and NASCAR fan of both Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr., defined much of his personal interests. Whitey also found joy in spending time with his father and family, along with hobbies like mowing and tending to their lawn and hunting for arrowheads.
Whitey leaves behind his wife, Amy Clark Caldwell; his son, Timothy Webster; and his daughters, Trinity Webster, Emily Webster, and Kylee Webster. He will be deeply missed by his father, Gerald Glenn Caldwell, his brother, Mark Caldwell; and his nephew, Lincoln Caldwell. He was predeceased by his mother, Elaine Hammond Caldwell.
As family and friends gather to honor Whitey's life, visitation services will be held on August 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, both at the Williamstown Baptist Church located at 214 N Main St, Williamstown, KY 41097. Pastor Sam Newman will be officiating services. Whitey will be laid to rest at the Williamstown Cemetery directly after the funeral service. A fellowship gathering and meal will be held at the Church directly after the committal service. Those in attendance are encouraged to attend. Memorials are suggested to the family, c/o Stanley Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 130, Williamstown, KY 41097.
