Danny Lee Evans

Danny Lee Evans, 77, of Corinth, KY, entered his eternal home on Sunday October 26, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Born on April 7, 1948 in Grant County, KY, he was the son of the late Boyd and Pauline Josephine Cook.

On September 20, 1969 he was united in marriage to the former Kay Hammond; she preceded him in death on January 30, 2024. Danny, along with his late wife, Kay and Mark & Mary Knight formed the Promised Land Gospel Quartet and later formed the Southern Echo Singer, which consisted of his wife, Kay, Linda Colson and Kitty Fields. Singing Gospel music and sharing what the Lord had done in his life brought much satisfaction. His love for the Lord was obvious in everything he did. For many years, he worked as an assembly line worker for General Motors. He was a member of New Columbus Methodist Church.

He is survived by a host of friends in the Corinth Community and abroad. A brief visitation will be held Tuesday October 28, 2025 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 with Rev. Russell Vance officiating. He will be laid to rest with his wife, Kay, in the Corinth Cemetery.
