Darrell Wayne Brown

Darrell Wayne Brown was born July 14, 1949 in Owen Co., Kentucky and passed away April 13, 2025 in Lexington, Kentucky at the age of 75.  He was the son of the late Ruel Jason and Hattie Lee Skirvin Brown.

Darrell was a retired shift line supervisor for Phillips Driscopipe in Williamstown.  He was an active member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Williamstown where he could often be found running the sound board.  He loved playing music, especially his mandolin, and had the opportunity to play at Renfro Valley, the Joe Clark Festival as well as other venues and events throughout Kentucky.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his annual trip to Canada fishing for Walleye.  He was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Oregon Ducks fan.  Darrell was known to "tinker" and was able to fix any problem he was faced with while also being very creative as seen through his wood carvings.  While he had many hobbies, his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his kids and grandkids.  He was always willing to lend a listening ear and was slow to judgement while being supportive.

On July 13, 1968 Darrell was united in marriage to the love of his life, Debbie Rose Brown.  In addition to his wife of almost 57 years, he is survived by three daughters: Colleen O'Hara (Pat) of Lagrange, Connie Foley of Sanders and Sandy Deaton (Edd) of Corinth; three brothers: David Brown (Marcella) of Williamstown, Donnie Brown of Louisa and Kevin Brown of Lexington; two sisters: Rhonda Fiscus of Berry and Kim Brown (Michael) of Cleveland, OH; five grandchildren: Darian Beach (Bo), Tyler Foley (Yelena), Emily Rose Collins, Trevor Collins and Conner Deaton (Kendall); two great grandchildren: Laney and Brody Beach; and his favorite dog, Jake.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Friday, April 18, 2025 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY. 41097.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, April 18, 2025 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.  Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
