Dean Patrick Hess

Dean Patrick Hess, a Dry Ridge resident, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at the age of 61.  

Dean was born in Covington, KY on August 19, 1965 to Richard Hess and the late Helen Lois Perry Hess.  He loved to hunt, fish and spend time in the outdoors.  In his younger years, he never missed an opportunity to take his family to the lake for activities and fun.  His family describes him as having a huge heart, very social, and loved to be around friends and family.

In addition to his father Richard, Dean is survived by three sons, Joshua (Becky) Spaulding, Jeremy (Katherine) Spaulding, Zachary Hess; one daughter, Zoee Taylor, two brothers, John and Jason Hess; one sister, Kathy Hanna and twelve grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one son, Brandon Hess and one brother, Steve Hess.

Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.  McDaniel Funeral Home of Dry Ridge, KY has been entrusted with handling of arrangements.
