Delevia Gray

Delevia Gray, 77, of Warsaw, KY, entered her heavenly home on Saturday November 22, 2025 at her residence. Born on December 16, 1947 in Corbin, KY, she was the daughter of the late Wayman Scott and Mary Magdalene Duncan Shupe.

In December of 1965, she was united in marriage to Robert Chester Gray; he preceded her in death on March 17, 1998. Her love and devotion was to her husband and children, faithfully serving as a homemaker and housewife. In later years, she worked for Walmart in the Food Service Department. Reading was one of her favorite pastimes but her greatest strength came from faithfully serving her Lord and Savior; her nighttime routine was reading her Bible at the close of the day. Being a loving “Mamaw” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought Delevia her greatest fulfillment in life. She held her church membership at Verona Church of Christ.

She leaves to carry on her legacy to her two son: Robert “Ro” Gray of Dry Ridge, KY, Jared Scott Gray of Warsaw, KY; four daughters” Carolyn (Gary) Rich-Spoonamore of Dry Ridge, KY, Mary (Randall) Keeton of New Carlisle, OH, Kim Roland of Independence, KY, Merita (Ray) Black of Butler, KY; one sister: Carolyn (late Denny) Switzer of Dry Ridge, KY, along with 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, whom lovingly called her “Mamaw”. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Friends and family will gather for visitation on Friday November 28, 2025 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge. Visitation will continue Saturday morning at 10:00 and go until the time of the funeral at 11:00 with Rev. Jeff Sargent officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Robert.
