Dennis Smith

Dennis Smith, 78, Corinth, KY, entered his heavenly home on Thursday July 30, 2026 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 23, 1948 in Bright Shade (Clay Co.), KY; he was the son of the late Oscar and Ada Swafford Smith.

On November 7, 1975, he was united in marriage to the former Regina Marie Schulkers; she survives. He retired in 2005 as a Tool and Die Maker for Toyota Motor Manufacturing. Among his many hobbies, he loved coon hunting (Mountain Cur), fishing, squirrel hunting and wood working. He was a member of the Zion Baptist Church.

Dennis leaves a lasting legacy to his wife of 51 years, Regina Smith; three sons: Michael C. (Stephanie) Smith of Huntsville, AL, Jason M. (Tim Rau) Smith of Colorado Springs, CO, Joshua P. (Ashley) Smith of Georgetown, KY; one daughter, Tammy L. (Don) Struble of Roundtree, TX; two brothers: Gary Russell (Beth) Smith of Dry Ridge, KY, Dallas W. Smith of Alexandria, KY; two sisters: Edith (Jim) Farthing of Hamilton, OH, Alta Faye (Eddie) Horton of Hamilton, OH; a sister-n-law, Teresa Sandlin of Jackson County, KY, along with six grandchildren. Preceding him in death are four brothers: David Smith, Earl Smith, Otis Smith, Bobby Smith; two sisters: Ruth Mullins, Thelma Smith and a grandchild.

Visitation will be Monday August 3, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 with Rev. Ashley Beagle officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that friends make donations to the charity of their choice.
