Doris Annetta Thompson Eibeck, 83, of Williamstown, KY, passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky on Friday April 10, 2026
Doris was born on July 21, 1942, in Geneva, Indiana, to the late Richard and Mary Thompson. On December 22, 1960, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Wendell Gene Eibeck, with whom she shared over 65 years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and family.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in caring for her family. Doris loved attending church, cooking meals for those she loved, working on the farm, and spending time with her family. She was known for always putting others before herself and for her strong work ethic. Doris was a faithful servant of the Lord and attended Shiloh Full Gospel Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wendell Gene Eibeck; her children, Tony Eibeck, Terry (Rachel) Eibeck, and Crystal (Evangelist James) Vanover; and her cherished grandchildren, Heather (Adam) Bolog, Tia Eibeck, Somer Eibeck, Josh Eibeck, Tabitha (Zane) Rathke, Chelsea Eibeck, Melissa (Cameron) Marsh, Ashley (Burt) Delaney, James Vanover III, Jacob Hughes, Kaitlynn (Noah) Singleton, Christopher Vanover, Emily Vanover, Eli Vanover, and Malachi Vanover. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Eileen (Gary) Herzog; and one brother, Russell (Peggy) Thompson.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Thompson; her sisters, Glenna Beach, Vivian Thompson, and Mary Thompson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 with visitation from 11:00AM – 2:00PM, and funeral services beginning at 2:00PM at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown with Reverend Gregory Cheeks officiating. Burial will follow at Williamstown Cemetery. The family kindly requests that guests wear Doris’ favorite color, burgundy, when attending services.
Friends and family are invited to gather at the Jean La Beth Event Venue for a meal following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shiloh Full Gospel Church.
