Douglas B. Alexander, a devoted son, brother, and U.S. Marine Veteran, passed away on July 23, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born on March 8, 1987, in Edgewood, he grew up surrounded by family and friends who would later come to appreciate the warmth and strength of his character.
Douglas was a proud graduate of Ryle High School. His commitment to service led him to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he actively participated in the Global War on Terrorism, serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan. His military service was a significant part of his life, reflecting his dedication to his country and his unwavering sense of duty.
After returning from his military service, Douglas built a fulfilling career as a security guard for 5/3rd Bank in Cincinnati. He took pride in his work, which allowed him to contribute to the safety and security of the community he served.
In addition to his professional life, Douglas had a wide variety of hobbies and interests. He found great joy in fishing and hunting, taking opportunities to connect with nature and loved ones. He also had a passion for collecting firearms, an interest that showcased his appreciation for history and craftsmanship.
Douglas is survived by his father, Michael Albert Alexander; his mother, Teresa Craft Alexander; and his three brothers, Michael P. Alexander, Nicholas A. Alexander, and Daniel L. Alexander. His family will fondly remember him not only for his accomplishments but also for his loyalty, kindness, and infectious spirit that touched the lives of many. Douglas B. Alexander will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Graveside services will be announced once arrangements are finalized. Burial will take place in the Beaverlick Church Cemetery, Walton, KY.
