Dwayne Kelson Nickell

Dwayne Kelson Nickell, 67 of Williamstown, KY, entered his eternal home in the early morning hours of Thursday April 16, 2026 at Grant Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Born on February 6, 1959 in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Thomas Kelson and Edith Irene Napier Nickell.

On October 7, 1978, Dwayne was united in marriage to the former Linda Sue Went; she preceded him in death on October 13, 2023. He was a graduate of Williamstown High School and for many years he was a machine operator for Hopple Plastics in Florence and Phillips Driscopipe in Williamstown. Among his many interests and hobbies, he loved serving as a softball umpire, going to yard sales, collecting “junk”, woodworking and playing Rook. He was a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church.

Dwayne is survived by his two sons: Brian Thomas (Kristina) Nickell of Williamstown and Tyler Blake (Katie) Nickell of Millersburg; three sisters: Donna (Dennis) Stanley of Williamstown, Kathy (Ron) Hilderbrand of Hilton Head Island, SC and Linda (Tim) Treichel of Pensacola, FL; along with three grandchildren: Kendyl, Wyatt and Kelson.

Memorial graveside services will be conducted Tuesday April 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Williamstown Cemetery.
