Dwight Edwin Parks

Dwight Edwin Parks, of Williamstown, KY, one day shy of his 76th birthday, finished his chores here on earth and entered his heavenly home on Monday September 14, 2026, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Edgewood, KY, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 15, 1950 in Louisville, KY; he was the son of Emma Elizabeth West Parks and the late Edwin Leo Parks.

On January 1, 1982, he was married to the former Pamela Jean “PJ” Baker; she preceded him in death on Monday February 23, 2026. Dwight was an amazingly devoted husband, father, brother, son and “Pappaw”. He met his wife while working at Cincinnati Bell as a Telephone Splicer but always defined himself as a committed farmer; he enjoyed working with his horses, tending to his chickens, gardening, watching his favorite westerns, but most importantly, his world revolved around his family, especially his grandchildren; his love for them was evident in everything he did.

Dwight leaves an everlasting legacy; he lived an impeccable life and will always be remembered as an individual who never argued with anyone and always saw the best in everyone; even his children acknowledged they had no bad or unpleasant memories of their dad; they affectionately called him the best Dad and Husband anyone could ever hope to have.

Those left to love and cherish his memory include his mother, Emma Elizabeth Parks; three daughters: Tina (Jeff) Faul of Independence, KY, Shannon (Jozsef) Weiland of Williamstown, KY, Leah (Doug) Bennett of Corinth, KY; one sister, Janet (Bob) Mullikin of Florence, KY; eight grandchildren: Jozsef (Megan) Weiland, Michael Henry Parks, Christopher (Jennelline) Weiland, Daniel Weiland, D.J. (Vanessa) Bennett, Amanda (Quinton) Rayburn, Nicholas Weiland and Kody (Summer) Bennett, along with 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Dwight was joined on the side by his father, Edwin Parks; a grandson, Matthew Parks and a great-grandson, Corbin Eli Weiland.

Friends may gather with the family on Saturday September 19, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church located at 3575 Sweet Owen Road Owenton, KY 40359. Funeral services will begin at 1:00; he will be laid to rest next to his wife, "PJ", in the Corbin Eli Family Cemetery, located at 1202 Mason Sipple Rd. Williamstown, KY 40359.
