In Loving Memory of Evalyn “Evie” Rae Kemp
April 8, 2015 – October 22, 2026.
Evalyn “Evie” Rae Kemp, beloved daughter of Bobbi Barker and Michael Kemp, was born April 8, 2015, in Paradise, California and passed away in the comfort of her home on October 22, 2026, in Dry Ridge, Kentucky.
Evie lived her life with Angelman Syndrome, facing challenges with a strength and determination that could never be measured. She was a beautiful girl with a spirit that could not be dimmed, a fighter who never gave up, and a heart that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Evie loved music, especially Billy Idol, and anything that had to do with water. These simple joys brought her happiness, but it was her own joy that made the greatest impact on the world around her. Her smile could brighten the darkest day, and her unforgettable belly laugh could fill a room with a kind of happiness that words could never fully describe. Evie loved everyone, and everyone who knew Evie loved her. She had a way of reaching hearts without ever needing to say a word.
She leaves behind her loving mother, Bobbi Barker; her father, Michael Kemp; and her beloved brother, Tanner Kemp. She is also survived by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all those whose lives were forever changed by her presence.
Though her family’s hearts are broken by her passing, they find comfort in the faith that Evie has been called home by the Lord. After a lifetime of fighting battles most could never imagine, she is finally free. We find peace in knowing that she can now run without limits, dance to her favorite music, laugh with unrestrained joy, and speak all the words she so longed to say. No more struggles, no more limitations just the freedom and happiness she always deserved.
While the world may feel a little darker without her smile and a little quieter without her laughter, Evie’s light will never truly leave us. Her life was a beautiful reminder that love needs no words, that strength comes in many forms, and that even the smallest moments can leave the biggest imprints on our hearts.
Until we meet again, sweet Evie. You fought so hard, loved so deeply, and left more love behind than you could ever have known. You will forever be our beautiful Evie girl, our warrior, and our greatest reminder of what it means to love without limits. We will carry your smile in our hearts, hear your laughter in our memories, and love you through every tomorrow until we can hold you again.
Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes (Williamstown). Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Pastor Bobby Stinnett officiating. Burial will follow on the Kemp Family Farm located at 245 Buffalo Ridge Jonesville, KY 41052
