Fines Branscum, a Walton resident, passed away at his residence on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the age of 67. He was the son of the late Hartman and Pollie Lizzie Keith Branscum.
Mr. Branscum was a world renowned House Mover for most of his life. He was awarded in 2001 with moving the longest structure in the United States. He was proud of his construction, engineering and house moving talents. His family describes him as being a workaholic and a jokester.
He is survived by his ex wife of 37 years Beverly Branscum of Verona, KY, one son, Hartman Ray Branscum (Amanda) of Verona, KY, two daughters, Tania Moller of Walton, KY, Deborah "Debbie" Ann Branscum (Tim Gries, Jr.) of Ft. Thomas, KY, two brothers, Donald Branscum of Sydney, OH, Paul Branscum of Stearns, KY, three sisters, Carol Hamlin of Middletown, OH, Betty Saylor of Taylor Mill, KY, and Doris Branscum of Florence, KY. Fines is preceded in death by one daughter Brandi Lynn Branscum and two brothers, infant Carl Dean Branscum and Doyle Branscum.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 10am-12noon at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY. Funeral services will follow at noon with Bro. Floyd Race officiating services. Mr. Branscum will be laid to rest next to his loving daughter in the Richwood Presbyterian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
