Flora Lee Melton

Flora Lee Melton of Dry Ridge, KY was born May 24, 1928, in Clay County, KY and died Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in Williamstown, KY at the age of 97 years.

She was the daughter of the late Gilbert Bradley and Dora Isabell Howard Ferguson. She was a homemaker and farmer, and a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. On November 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to her husband Paul Melton, who preceded her in death on May 4, 1996. Flora was a jokester who loved to have fun and tease, and she was very loved at Grant Center by the staff and other residents. 

Surviving is her daughter, Brenda (David Michael) Simpson of Williamstown; son, Jeffrey Lee (Denise) Melton of Dry Ridge; son in law, Darrell King; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Flora was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine King.  

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Eckler- McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge, KY followed by burial in the Hill Crest Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Saturday 11:00am-2:00pm at the funeral home.  Serving as Pallbearers will be:  Jesse Melton, Jeff Melton, Travis Simpson, Will Simpson, Gary Melton, Mike Melton, and Elijah Hargis.
