Frances Casey Elam

Frances Casey Elam was born September 22, 1947 in Rome, Ohio and passed away August 26, 2026 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 78. She was the daughter of the late Virgil William Casey and Opal Lawson McFarland.

Fran, as she was best known, was a retired hairdresser, and previously owned her own hair salon, After Images. She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Dry Ridge.  She loved spending her time fishing and camping with her husband at Dale Hollow Lake. She also enjoyed working puzzles and coloring as well as feeding birds and especially loved peacocks. She was an avid fan of Bob Seger.

On August 9, 1986 Fran was united in marriage to Robert “ Bob“ Elam. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Casey (Cassandra) Elam of Sanders and Carl (Susan) Elam of Florence; two daughters, Michelle (Bill) Mann of Erlanger and Amy Frazier of Eddyville; two sisters, Naomi Hamm of Milford and Sama Bender of Cincinnati; and four grandchildren, Danielle Elam, Paisley Tapp, Sarah Frazier, and Dixie Frazier.

Visitation will be 11 AM - 1 PM, Monday, August 31,2026 at Hamilton Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton – Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092. Funeral services will be at 1 PM, Monday, August 31, 2026 at Hamilton – Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
