Frances Lois Yarber

Frances Lois Yarber, 71, of Williamstown, KY, passed away on Monday May 4, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Florence. Born on February 9, 1955 in Richmond, KY, she was the daughter of the late Chester Thomas and Lida B. Davis Cheeks..

She was united in marriage to Shelby Lynn Yarber; he survives. Being a committed housewife and faithful homemaker brought her much fulfillment. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed NASCAR, especially Joey Logano and Jimmy Johnson, watching wrestling, growing flowers and listening to Alan Jackson songs.

Survivors include her husband, Shelby Yarber; one daughter, Shelly Jo Leischner; one brother, Harold Cheeks; three sisters: Evelyn Crump, Jewell Conner, Joyce Cain, along with eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, 30 nieces and 18 nephews. Frances was preceded in death by two infant grandchildren, five brothers: Jay Cheeks, Nelson Cheeks, Neville Cheeks, Shelby Cheeks, James Cheeks and three sisters: Mildred Demouy, Lucille Berry and Gean Renfro.

A Celebration of Frances’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
