Gary Wayne Gaines

Gary Wayne Gaines was born February 25, 1949 in Covington, Kentucky and passed away February 12, 2025 in Cynthiana, Kentucky at the age of 75.  He was the son of the late Irwin and Iona Dixon Gaines.

On May 20, 1972 Gary was united in marriage to the love of his life, Elaine Hope Blackburn Gaines.  In addition to his wife, Hope, of 52 years, he is survived by his daughter, Kate Gaines of Atlanta, GA, his son, Adam (Ladia) Gaines of Green Bay, WI, and two grandchildren, Tereza and Sasha Gaines.

Gary retired from the Kentucky State Police as a radio technician and dispatcher in 2005 and he was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Georgetown.  He enjoyed anything to do with cars including car shows and working on and restoring old cars.  Gary also enjoyed farming and especially loved raising his goats.  But most of all he dearly loved his family.

A memorial visitation will be 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, February 17, 2025 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY  41097.  Burial of Gary's cremated remains will be at a later date at Ravens Creek Cemetery.
