Genevra Marie Field, 71, of Verona, KY, passed away on Friday August 29, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center – Edgewood, KY. Born on September 9, 1953 in Tuscola, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late George Edward and Wanda Louise Anderson Hannan.
Genevra worked for many years in Marketing with the Marquette Company. Canning vegetables and shopping were two of her favorite pastimes. Singing in the choir at the Ward in Danville, IL, brought her much enjoyment; she was also very artistic with crafts and ornaments. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Crittenden.
Survivors include two daughters: Buffy Marie (Don) Bowen of Verona, KY, Katherine Elizabeth (Jeff) Dorsey of Nitro, WV; one son: David Field of Peoria, IL; one brother: Ed (Christie) Hannan of Utah; three sisters: Aniat (Todd) Westlund of St. Paul, MN, Georgia Patterson (John Veruls) of St. Louis, MO and Elaine (Marty) Rife of Danville, IL. Nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death is a sister, Tamara Jo Hannan.
Family will gather for a private viewing on Friday September 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Hamilton – Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
