Glen Campbell

Glen Campbell was born February 5, 1935 in Grapevine, Kentucky and passed away September 12, 2026 at his home in Crittenden, Kentucky at the age of 91.  He was the son of the late Harrison and Martha Jane Stacey Campbell.

Glen was a retired machinist for Durobag in Walton and a member of the New Macedonia Baptist Church in Newport.  He was an avid UK Basketball fan and loved hunting and fishing.  He will also be remembered for his love of watching wrestling.  While he was known to be a hard worker and enjoyed many pastimes, Glen got his greatest fulfillment from spending time with his grandchildren.

On October 16, 1958 Glen was united in marriage to the love of his life, Ruth Turner Campbell, who preceded him in death in 2005.  He is survived by four daughters: Bobbi Gentry of Crittenden, Pamela Huffman (William) of Crittenden, Patti Bates of Sadieville and Missy Rice (Rick) of Crittenden; a son: Randy Campbell (Rose) of Crittenden; two sisters: Pearl Mullins and Annette Johnson; six grandchildren: Kenneth Gentry (Michele), Robert Bates, III (Michelle), Meranda Combs (Christopher), Brandi Musick (Roger), Tiffany Howard (Ivan) and Cody Rice (Kristin); and ten great grandchildren: Austin King, Kelsey Gentry, Kaden Gentry, Aubrey Bates, Marleigh Bates, Lara Combs, Lola Rice, Aurora Howard, Fraya Howard and Riggs Rice; and his beloved dog, Ruby.

In addition to his wife, Ruth, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Jennifer Bates; and nine siblings: Van, JC, Herb, Don, Harrison Jr., Opal, Zola, Polly and Dorothy.

Arrangements are pending at this time but will be announced as soon as they become available.   Graveside services will be in the Crittenden Cemetery.
