Glenn "Bulldog" Edward Wright

Glenn Edward Wright, better known as Bulldog, was born Dec. 20, 1932 in Owen County, Kentucky and passed away Aug. 31, 2025 surrounded by family in Williamstown, Kentucky at the age of 92.  He was the son of the late Burgess and Malisia Howard Wright.

Bulldog was owner and operator of Glenn's Woodland Inn for 24 years as well as Club Keeneland in Covington for 7 years. He ultimately retired from Williamstown Independent Schools after 13 years of service.  He also proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

In his free time, Bulldog enjoyed gardening and fishing.  He was also a sports enthusiast and loved watching any sport on tv, especially the Cincinnati Reds.  Even though he spent his career working in the food industry, he had a love of cooking.  But his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family.

On December 16, 1956 Bulldog was united in marriage to Marilynn Yvonne Webster Wright who preceded him in death on August 24, 2013.  He is survived by his daughter: Susan Cloe (Randy) of Berry; his son: Steve Wright (Lisa) of Richmond; a sister: Alma Yeary (Bill) of Lexington; six grandchildren: Mackenzie (Eli) Anderson, Morgan (Todd) Farley, Mandy Cloe (Austin Taylor), Stephanie (Wynn) Harris, Courtney (Ryan) Howell and Eric Wright; and five great grandchildren: Mason Harris, Kaden Harris, Cooper Howell, Liam Howell and Baylor Anderson.

Bulldog was preceded in death by a sister: Betty Stone; and four brothers: Doug Wright, Dempsey Wright, Tom Wright and Elmer Wright.

Visitation will be 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM, Friday, September 5, 2025 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY  41097.  Funeral services will be 12:30 PM, Friday, September, 5, 2025 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North.
