Jackie Gene Vice, a Falmouth resident, passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at the age of 89.
Jackie was born in Williamstown, KY on January 31, 1937 to the late Claude Ray Vice and Mary Daugherty Vice. He was formerly married to and preceded in death by Lois Jean Carson.
Jackie grew up raising cattle and working on the farm and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Jackie loved all sports. He started playing basketball at an early age in Morgan, KY. He went on to play amateur softball. In his adult years, he never missed an opportunity to attend and support local basketball teams like Pendleton High School and Grant Co. High School and loved to watch his grandchildren play ball. He was a loyal UK basketball fan and loved to attend the Sweet 16 tournament. His family describes him as a very outgoing man who never met a stranger and had a big heart. In later years, he loved to attend estate auctions and collect antique glassware.
Jackie is survived by two sons; Mark (Rhonda) Vice, Robert (Monica) Vice; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, Frank and Jimmie Vice; and two sister, Eloise Conrad and Louis Vance.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 11am-1pm at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Funeral services will be at 1pm. Burial will follow at the Williamstown Cemetery. Pastor Steve Spegal will be officiating services. Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Hope.
