James Wilson Darlington was born on July 16, 1932 in Campbell County, Kentucky and died December 3, 2025 in Williamstown, Kentucky at the age of 93 years. He was the son of the late James Ozzie and Zellia Edna Iles Darlington.
Jim had a passion for motorcycles which led him to open a Motorcycle Park in Owenton, KY. He was a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association and was inducted into their Hall of Fame. He was a US Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion Post 0137, he enjoyed farming, raising cattle, and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by three sons; Darwin Darlington of Walton, KY, Darren Darlington of Hebron, KY, Darel Darlington of Erlanger, four daughters; Debbie Centers of Tennessee, Darnay Adams of Walton, KY, Darlene Ammer of Dry Ridge, KY, Darnell Shaftner of Morristown, TN, 21 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife Mary "Evelyn" Adams Darlington in 2018.
Memorial Services for Jim will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Elliston Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 with Military Honors to follow at Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery, North, Williamstown, Kentucky.
